Your Notebook Computer | How Cool?


It's important to keep your notebook computer cool. It adds wear and tear to your machine when it gets too hot. I've gone through a few different notebook coolers, and done reviews on each of them. I'm seriously considering a switch to the Laptop Lifts though!.

i'd imagine there's a more (i havent researched as deep yet) a DIY rubberish, bottom mount that could save a bit of cash..interesting stuff though nonetheless.

if you own an Acer take the back door off and removed the film blocking the vents after I did no need for any special cooling.

Yes The people at Acer really did tape the air vents up. Which is retarded air vents are made to let hot air out.

Yeah, it's a great piece of software :) First time using it on full settings blew dust EVERYWHERE for me though!

can anyone suggest and software that lets you control the fan speed?

I have mine on a cheap sink rack you can get from target or walmart...lifts it up about an inch...

They should make notebooks with proper cooling systems so you shouldn't have to do this. It's just shoddy engineering. I really don't understand why consumers allow computer companies to get away with it. It's like buying a brand new car and having to pull over every 100 miles and put water in the engine.
